The aims of this Work Package are to detect the impact of the MBR process on the qualitative-quantitative characteristics of the waste sludge produced.
Specific goals are:
- to develop a new mathematical model in order to predict sludge production under different operational conditions (influent composition, SRT, HRT)
- to assess the impact of the process conditions on the residual respiration rate of the sludge, in order to define the best disposal strategy
- to assess the impact of chemical conditioning on sludge dewaterability Develop a range of low-cost standardised and containerised turn-key MBR plants with the module technologies available within the consortium. Targeted plant size: 50 to 2,000pe
