The objectives of INWRDAM are:
- To exchange information, share experiences and maintain continuous dialogue on the development in the field of the Network;
- To set up and maintain a data bank on the developments in the field of water resources development and management for use of the Member States taking into account national interests of the subscribing countries;
- To collaborate and cooperate in the areas of common interest with a view to help each other in building up the national capability of the Member States in the development of the economic production sector relevant to the scientific field of water resources development and management;
- To initiate joint projects of research and development (R&D) and help Member States in the training of quality manpower and render consultancy and advisory services for water resources development and management.The research experience of INWRDAM and its knowledge of state of water resources in the MENA can help guide this research to be more relevant to real needs of the future of wastewater decentralization and sector privatization so that the outcome of this project can be made more visible and relevant to the needs of the water sector. In the Puratreat project, INWRDAM investigates the power to invest in sanitation infrastructures available to those areas in as many MENA countries as possible. The information gathered through this task is used to assess the feasibility of application of MBR technologies in those areas. INWRDAM also assists in the estimation of the operating and maintenance costs of a decentralised wastewater treatment plant based on MBR technology given the socioeconomic situation of the different MENA countriesINWRDAM is involved in conducting regional surveys to assess the needs of the region for MBR based technology and possible adoption of research findings by direct contacts with policy and decision makers and by conducting regional conferences that disseminate project findings.INWRDAM carries out the regional information component of the project and contributes to the dissemination of the activities of the consortium from the start of the project.
