The Politecnico is responsible, within MBR-train for the project: `The fate of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in MBR for drinking water use`.

The DIIAR, established in 1990, comprises the sections: Environmental, Hydraulic Engineering, Hydraulic Works, Hydrology and Maritime Works, Transport Infrastructures, Geodesy and Geomatics.The research activity of DIIAR is on the complex, multiscale aspects of the environment, dealing with the protection from natural hazards, environment preservation, strategies and technologies for sustainable development. There are 5 Research Labs and 4 specialistic Libraries; 250 people are active: 115 professors, senior and junior researchers; 60 PhD students; 50 post-graduate fellows; 42 staff fellows.
