pH correction
Dear colleagues,
I am sending again a question to all who have any experience with Ca(OH)2 for pH correction in bioreactor with membrane hollow fibre.
I am interested to learn about the experience with the use of Ca(OH)2 powder for pH correction and how it reflects on the application of the submerged membrane module (hollow fibber)?
The plant is MBR, which consists of two tanks per 500m3 and in one of them the submerged modules are installed.
Further, I am interested regarding the experience with the application of Na2CO3 also for the correction of pH with high concentrations of NH4-N and whether the application of 6% solution of Na2CO3 has a negative impact on plugged membrane fibers.
Up to date it has been applied 10% NaOH and the pH results were slow and relatively weak and had influence on to sludge.(for ph coorection from ph 5,5 to pH 7 has been used cca 445L 10% NaOH/ 500m3 tank volume)
Therfore I am interested in other possibilities for the correction of pH, but particularly in terms of impact on membrane modules.
Thank you,
Regards
Amra
